Many users have stopped chasing the ever-growing demands of computer games and today use computers, which several years ago were considered the latest technology, like a large media player to watch movies, listen to music on the Internet. But any things become obsolete, microcircuits burn out and break, and therefore it is possible that after a while, in order to revive the computer, you will have to sort out all the components with your own hands, and, perhaps, assemble the PC "from scratch" yourself.
Necessary
Phillips screwdriver, thermal grease
Instructions
Step 1
To assemble your PC, prepare a small Phillips screwdriver and thermal paste. Place the system board on a flat, horizontal surface. Install the processor on it, observing the correspondence of its pins and slot sockets. Squeeze a small drop of thermal paste onto it from above. Also spread the thermal grease on the bottom of the heatsink, and then secure the cooler with special clips or locks.
Step 2
Place the assembled parts in the system unit. Install RAM and graphics card. Connect the wires from the power supply to the motherboard and do not forget to connect the power to the cooler. After connecting the wires coming from the system speaker and from the “Power” button on the case with the intended contacts of the motherboard, turn on the computer. If you hear a short beep and see the start of loading on the monitor screen, it means that everything was assembled correctly, and the components do not conflict with each other.
Step 3
Install in the system unit and connect with special cables IDE or SATA hard drives, as well as CD and other types of storage drives. Place other components evenly on the motherboard: network card, sound card, RAID controller, etc. Connect power to all accessories and turn on the computer. If all hard drives are identified correctly, and the download has paused due to the absence of an operating system, then you can start installing it.
Step 4
To install the operating system, we recommend using ready-made assemblies with preinstalled driver packages and sets of the most common programs. Thus, you will significantly save time when setting up your computer.
