From year to year, personal computer users observe the modernization of the range of external devices. Sometimes it is difficult to keep up with all the new products and you have to optimize the existing hardware.
Necessary
ATI Tool software
Instructions
Step 1
It should be noted right away that it is almost impossible to increase the performance of the integrated video card. The overall operating frequency can be increased in the BIOS settings by going to the integrated devices section. It should be noted that the bundle "integrated video card + processor with graphic stuffing" will give greater performance. These processors are more commonly available from Intel.
Step 2
It is impossible to increase the physical memory of an external (discrete) video card by hardware means. the device of this card differs from the capabilities of the motherboard, which has additional slots for RAM brackets. It is possible to programmatically increase the memory of the card, provided that special utilities are used, for example, ATItool.
Step 3
You can download the program on this website https://radeon.ru/downloads/att. Scroll down the page and click the Download ATI Tray Tools link. This utility has support for the Russian language, so it shouldn't be difficult to master it. After installation, launch the program and select the "Overclocking" option from the context menu.
Step 4
In the open window, go to the "Memory frequency" tab. Move the slider in this window a little to the right - you just changed the value of this setting. Click the Save and OK buttons to confirm your changes and close the window. To check the functionality of the new parameters, you need to start the test mode: open the main menu of the utility and select the "Open 3D window" option.
Step 5
During testing, which will last up to 20-30 minutes, an item will be displayed on the screen. If distortions appear, for example, frequent dots of different colors, be aware that stable operation of the video system at these parameters cannot be guaranteed. Go back to the Memory Frequency tab and move the slider slightly to the left. Save the settings and run the "Open 3D window" option again.
