The internal elements of the computer system unit must be protected from dust. This will extend the life of the coolers and prevent damage to internal cards, such as a video card or network card.
Instructions
Step 1
First, as often as possible carry out wet cleaning of the room in which the system unit is located. Dust is not formed inside the case, but is driven there by cooling fans. Accordingly, the less dust there is in the room, the less it gets into the system unit.
Step 2
Clean the system unit at least once a month. Use a conventional vacuum cleaner to remove most of the dust. Hard-to-reach places, such as fan blades, wipe with cotton swabs soaked in a weak alcohol solution. Wipe the case of the system unit and the plastic surfaces inside it with an antistatic agent. You can use an automotive panel cleaner.
Step 3
Most system units have two or three holes through which air is blown into them. Usually this is a hole in the power supply, next to which the cooler of the corresponding device is installed, and several holes in the side cover, allowing for stable ventilation of the central processor. Install special filters on the above holes. At home, you can use nylon fabric.
Step 4
If you have the opportunity, then wrap the system unit in a suitable material. There are special "anthers" that allow you to minimize the amount of dust that gets inside the unit case
Step 5
Try not to install the system unit under the table or in the corners of rooms. If possible, place any items that collect dust, such as pillows and rugs, as far away from the computer as possible. If you do not mind the money to protect your computer from dust, then replace the standard coolers with a cooling system built using copper pipes. This will prevent dust from being sucked into the inside of the case, without reducing the cooling level of the computer components.
