Step 1
The first method will allow you to update or install directly the driver itself without additional software. In the context menu "My Computer" by right-clicking the mouse, select the line "Properties". Then, in the Component Bar, select the "Device Manager" line. Find the Printers and Faxes component and click the arrow to the left of it. A list of connected devices appears. Select the printer by right-clicking on it. A context menu will pop up, in which select the "Update driver" command. A menu of driver update options appears. Check the box next to the "Use Internet connection" line. The printer drivers will be updated.
Step 2
If Printers and Faxes does not appear in Device Manager, open Control Panel. Then select the line "Devices and Printers". Pay attention to the top line "Printers and Faxes", in which select the desired printer by clicking on it with the right mouse button. Then, in the menu that appears, select the "Properties" command, then the "Hardware" tab and the line "USB printer support". At the bottom of the program window, click on the "Properties" line. In the window that appears, select the "Driver" tab. From the suggested actions, click on the "Update" command.
Step 3
Both of these methods only update the driver itself. If you want to get new updated software for your printer, which will expand your printing capabilities, go to the manufacturer's website and enter your printer model in the site search engine. You will receive a file with updated software and drivers. The software provides many additional printing and printer management options. In addition, this option can be suitable for people who do not have the Internet, since you can download software with drivers from friends or in an Internet club, then save it to a USB flash drive or disk, and install it at home.
