A tuner is a special device that decodes an incoming signal into a format that a TV can understand. Currently, satellite receivers are widely used, which are included in kits for satellite TV. To view it, you need to perform the correct channel setup.
Instructions
Step 1
Connect the tuner to your TV using the supplied cable and an available connector. Select the most convenient channel for use by default with your satellite receiver. In manual mode, set the "Channel search" command. It is important that the tuner is turned on and the numbers are displayed on its screen. Save the channel, after which you can watch satellite channels on it, switching them on the receiver itself.
Step 2
Add a new channel to the tuner by scanning the desired transmitter on the selected satellite. Determine first which channel you want to tune. You can use the instructions supplied with your receiver or the online spreadsheet at https://www.tv-sputnik.com/ch_select.php. With its help, you will determine where this or that channel is, and familiarize yourself with its settings in the list of transponders.
Step 3
Open the tuner menu section responsible for transponder settings. The section name may differ depending on the device model. Install the desired transmitter. Press the auto-scan transponder button on the remote control and add channels on the receiver. This operation should be performed several times a month, since the list of satellite channels may change.
Step 4
Start the receiver's menu as soon as you set the desired channel. From the "Channel Editor" go to "TV Channels" and save the settings. Also set the folder where the channels will be displayed, click "OK".
Step 5
Select the desired satellite in the receiver menu, then click on the scan button. Select the desired mode: auto, manual, blind or network. It is better to set the position "Auto", then you do not have to adjust the transponder yourself. The tuner will automatically detect all functioning transponders that your satellite dish is receiving.
