Self-refilling of an inkjet printer cartridge is much cheaper than buying a new device. Before carrying out this process, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the cartridge of ink residues.

Instructions
Step 1
Prepare an area for cleaning the cartridge. Place newspaper or cellophane wrap on the table. Otherwise, you risk ruining the countertop. Put on rubber gloves. Most often, ink remains in the cartridge even after the printer software tells you to replace the consumable.
Step 2
Unplug the printer from AC power. Open its tray and remove the desired cartridge. Now, using a fine-bladed knife, remove the cartridge cover.
Step 3
Carefully remove the sponges from the body. Rinse them under warm running water. Follow this procedure until you are sure that the sponges are completely clean. Squeeze them out and lay them on a towel. Let the sponges dry completely.
Step 4
Use distilled water to re-clean the sponges. This will prevent the build-up of excess sediment.
Step 5
Now take a syringe and fill it with warm water. Do not use liquid that is too hot. Gently flush the inner walls of the cartridge with a syringe. Make sure all accessible areas of the cartridge are free of ink debris.
Step 6
Place the cartridge on a towel and let the moisture evaporate completely. Now set the jaws to their original positions. Place the plastic cover in the hole and secure it with glue. This will prevent accidental opening of the cartridge, which could damage the printer.
Step 7
Install the cartridge into the printing unit after the glue is completely dry. Remember to keep an eye on other parts of your printer to keep it running smoothly. Clean debris and dried ink from the print head regularly.
Step 8
Clean and flush the cartridge not only before refilling, but also after long periods of inactivity. Practice shows that ink in cartridges often dries up during extremely rare use of the printing device.
