Canon inkjet printers often have print quality problems. A dirty print head may be the source. You can use distilled water or homemade mixtures to rinse it. But, as a rule, these methods are not very effective and take a lot of time. It will be much easier to use special cleaning agents.

Instructions

Step 1

Fill the syringe with the Mister Muscle glass cleaner, which contains ammonia. Cut two pieces of bandage and fold one to fit on the bottom of the printhead. Crumple the second piece into a lump and slightly wet it. Use it to wipe off the dirt on the bottom of the print head.

Step 2

Take a low container and place the head in it with the bottom side on a piece of bandage that has been previously moistened with cleaning agent. Gently wipe the intake grilles. Remove the rubber bands from the ink tanks and rinse them under running water.

Step 3

Apply one drop of flushing fluid to the ink intake grids. Wait for the liquid to flow through the head and reapply. Change the soiled bandage on which the head rests regularly for a clean one. When it stops staining with ink, soak it heavily in flushing fluid, place the print head on it and leave it in this position for an hour. If after this time only weak streaks remain on the bandage, you can put the head in the printer to check the print quality.

Step 4

Use pieces of tubing that are approximately 5 centimeters long to remove any severe blockage if no liquid is flowing through the grate. Tubes should be put on the ink receiving pipes with little effort. Install them and pour the flushing liquid inside. Check the fluid level in the pipes periodically and top up as needed. After the bandage stops absorbing liquid flowing from the head, replace it with a new one. If the liquid level in some pipes drops slowly or does not change at all, top up with cleaning agent and let it sit overnight. There is no need to dry the rinsed printhead before installing it in the printer.
