There are several ways to make Internet Explorer your default application. One of the simplest is the way using standard Windows tools.

The Windows operating system contains a special editor that allows you to select default programs for opening a certain type of file or performing any tasks. This editor is not perfect, but it will handle the default browser setup just fine.

In the "Start" menu, left-click on "Settings" and then select "Control Panel". Next, in the next window, double-click on the "Add or Remove Programs" icon. After that, click on the "Select default programs" tab and select "Other", then find the browser you need in the list. Click OK at the bottom of the window to save your changes.

The second way is by means of the program itself. To do this, open the Internet browser Internet Explorer. Then go to the "Tools" menu, in which select the "Internet Options" section. In the new window, go to the "Programs" tab, then click on the "Use as default" button.
