Certain devices on your computer require specific drivers to be installed to configure. If you selected the wrong set of files for your video card, then you will need to install the standard VGA drivers.
Instructions
Step 1
The easiest way to install standard drivers is to uninstall their counterparts. Open your computer's control panel and go to device manager. Find your video card in the list of connected equipment. Click on its name with the left mouse button and select "Properties".
Step 2
In the window that opens, select the "Driver" tab. Find the "Delete" button and click it. In the warning window that appears, click the "Yes" button. After a while, your video card will turn off. The image on the monitor screen may disappear. Restart your computer by pressing the Reset button on the system unit.
Step 3
Wait for the operating system to load. After a while, your video adapter will be automatically detected and the standard VGA drivers included with the Windows operating system will be installed.
Step 4
If this method is too risky for you, then open the Control Panel and go to the Add or Remove Programs menu. Find the utility specific to your graphics card. These are usually ATI Control Center or Nvidia Control Panel. Remove this program and restart your computer.
Step 5
You can find the required drivers yourself. Open the Windows folder and navigate to the inf directory. Find the file oemX.inf, where X is a specific number. Verify that this file contains the drivers for your video card by comparing it to the oemsetup.inf file. Delete the selected file and follow the procedure to disconnect the video card.
Step 6
To do this, open the device manager, right-click on the name of the video adapter, select "Delete". After the device is automatically turned on, it will search for drivers and install the standard VGA driver for the video card. Be careful not to accidentally delete a file related to other devices.
