Step 1
Select the type of Wi-Fi adapter you will be using. These devices can be plugged into a PCI slot on the motherboard or a USB port. Be sure to check the option to create your own wireless hotspot if you need this feature.

Purchase a Wi-Fi adapter and connect it to your computer. To provide a higher signal level when using a USB adapter, connect it via a USB extension cable. This will allow you to place your wireless equipment in the right place. Install software and drivers appropriate for your operating system.

If you are using ASUS Wi-Fi adapter, install ASUS WLAN Utility. Run this application. Open the Config menu located on the left toolbar. Now go to the Soft AP tab.

Highlight Soft AP Mode and check the box next to Enable ICS. To provide mutual access between network devices and equipment connected to the wireless access point, specify the desired local network in the Available network field. Click the Apply button for the changes to take effect.
Step 5
After that the program will restart and the title of the window will change to Wireless Access Point Utility. Using this utility, it is rather difficult to configure password access to the created wireless point. It is recommended to enter in advance the valid MAC addresses of the equipment that you plan to include in the network. Turn on the laptops and press the Start and R keys at the same time.
Step 6
Enter cmd in the new field. After opening a command prompt, type ipconfig / all. Write down the MAC addresses of the wireless adapters. Now open the Access Control item located in the Config menu. Enter the MAC addresses in the Access Control List field and click the Accept button. Save the adapter settings by clicking the Apply button.
