Bluetooth is a wireless technology that allows data to be transferred between various devices. The main condition for Bluetooth operation is the presence of a special module for receiving and transmitting data at a special frequency. To computers that are not equipped with such a module, you can connect adapters that allow you to work with Bluetooth, for example, the BlueProton BTU02B adapter.

Step 1
Plug the adapter into the USB connector. After that, Windows should automatically start installing the standard drivers on the device. Cancel this setting and insert the CD into the CD-ROM. Run the setup.exe file located on the disk in the BluetoothBTW1.4.3.4 folder. A completely standard software installation will begin, during which you will need to agree to the terms of use, select a folder for installation and wait until the installation process is complete, and then restart your computer.
Step 2
After installing the driver in the "Connection" folder, a shortcut "Bluetooth environment" should appear. Click on it, the settings window will open. Choose where you want to place the Bluetooth icon (from the Start menu, from the Programs menu, or to the My Computer folder). Click Next.
Step 3
Set a name that will be visible to all users of the wireless network as they discover and connect to the device. Then select the type of device to which the adapter is installed. The device type affects the icon that will appear in search results on the screens of other devices. Click Next
Step 4
Configure the list of services supported by your adapter. As a rule, all adapters with their own drivers support all offered services. To adjust the settings for individual services, click the "Configure" button. This step of connecting the adapter is the last one.
Step 5
Then turn on Bluetooth on the device that you plan to connect to your computer. When the device is detected, the system will generate a PIN, which will need to be entered into the phone. After successful authentication, all functions will become available and you can transfer files, control your computer from a distance, use your phone as a headset, and much more.
