Flash cards are devices for storing and storing information. They are convenient to use if, for example, you have to work with the same files on different computers or need to free up space on your hard disk, but you do not want to lose certain data. You can transfer files to a flash card (or USB flash drive) in several ways.
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure to insert the flash drive into the USB port and the system recognizes it as external media. Move the cursor to the icon of the file that you want to save on the flash card and right-click on it. Select the "Send" command from the context menu. In the expanded submenu, click on the item "Removable disk (X:)".
Step 2
Since each individual computer can have a different number of local and removable drives, the drive name (X) can be different for each user. The time for copying information to a USB flash drive will depend on the amount of data being written.
Step 3
Another option is also possible: right-click on the file or group of files that you want to transfer to the USB flash drive. Select the "Copy" command from the drop-down menu. Open the removable disk corresponding to the flash card through the folder "My Computer" or in another way convenient for you. Click anywhere in the open window with the right mouse button and select the "Paste" command from the drop-down menu.
Step 4
If the source file is in some folder, you can use the following method. Select the file with the left mouse button and select the "Edit" item in the menu bar. In the submenu, left-click on the "Copy to Folder" or "Move to Folder" command. A new dialog box will open. Specify the path to the flash card in it and click the "Copy" or "Move" button. Wait for the end of the operation.
Step 5
You can move a file or folder to a USB flash drive in another way. Open simultaneously the removable disk corresponding to the flash card and the folder where your file is stored. Highlight the file. Click on its icon with the left mouse button and, while holding it down, drag the icon of the selected file from the source folder to the removable disk.
