Sounds in the BIOS are a certain reaction of the motherboard to any command from the system. For example, a BIOS sound can be heard when the computer is turned on and off, or when the computer is restarted. As a rule, these sounds can get annoying. Not everyone wants to listen to a nasty squeak every time they turn on their computer. Fortunately, BIOS sounds can also be turned off.

Instructions

Step 1

Turn on the computer and immediately while it boots, press the DEL key continuously. The BIOS menu appears. Find the "advanced" command. Go to the "onboard configuration" tab. Find the AUDIO item and set the position to Disable, that is, "off".

Step 2

Return to the main BIOS menu. When exiting the BIOS, you will be prompted to save or cancel the new settings. Click Save And Exit. The computer restarts. Wait until Windows starts.

Step 3

Now check if the sound works in BIOS. To do this, simply hold down and do not release any three keys for five seconds. If no sounds are made, then everything is done correctly. It is worth noting that not all motherboards support manual shutdown of sounds in BIOS, many of them simply do not have such a function. In such cases, you need to do a few manipulations with the motherboard inside the computer.

Step 4

Disconnect the computer completely from electrical power by unplugging the power cord. Open the computer cover. Look for "Onboard sound" on the motherboard. Nearby is the posting. Carefully remove the wires from the contact.

Step 5

Now make sure that this wire does not touch the components on the motherboard. Attach the wire to the common bundle with a wire in the system unit. Never leave it in the position in which you removed it from contact. Otherwise, it can get entangled in the coolers and damage the components. After you disconnect the wire and isolate the possibility of contact with the computer parts, close the lid of the system unit.

Step 6

Turn on your computer and check if the sound is working as described above. If everything is done correctly, the sounds in the BIOS should disappear. You can turn the sound back on by simply plugging the pulled out wire back into the contact on the motherboard.
