The console in computer games is the most convenient way for most players to enter commands and receive system messages. In some cases, it is not enough to simply open the console as this tool needs to be activated.
Instructions
Step 1
Start the Counter Strike Source game on your computer and open the "Settings" menu of the upper service panel of the application window. Select the "Advanced" item and select the checkbox in the "Enable development console" line of the dialog box that opens. Save your changes by clicking OK.
Step 2
Open Steam to activate the console in the Dota 2 game application. Open the "Game Library" menu of the upper service panel of the program window and open the context menu of the Dota 2 game by right-clicking. Specify the "Properties" item and click the "Set Launch Options" button in the dialog box that opens. Type -console in the new dialog box and confirm the selected action with OK.
Step 3
Bring up the main system menu by clicking the "Start" button and go to the "All Programs" item to activate the Torchlight Chemax console. Expand the "Accessories" link and start the Notepad application. Open the settings.txt file in it, saved in the following path drive_name: Documents and Settingsuser_nameAppDataRoaming
unic games orchlight, change the value of the line console = 0 to console = 1. Save your changes and start the game. Press and hold the Shift function key and press the ~ (tilde) key to activate the console.
Step 4
To activate the console in Team Fortress 2, start the game and open the Settings menu in the upper service panel of the program window. Select the "Keyboard" item and go to the "Advanced" section. Apply the checkbox in the line "Enable developer console" and use the ~ (tilde) key to launch the console in the game.
Step 5
Note that for the entire Hitman franchise, the console is activated by simultaneously pressing the Shift and Esc function keys.
Step 6
Open the fallout.ini file in Notepad located in the following path drive_name: My Documentsusernamemy gamesfallout nv and change the bAllowConsole = 0 line to bAllowConsole = 1 to activate the console in Fallout New Vegas. Save your changes and start the console by pressing the ~ (tilde) key.
