Some computer games are too resource intensive. Therefore, before buying new equipment, you can get by with the reduced performance of the game and play not at maximum settings.
Instructions
Step 1
It is possible that it is all about the drivers, not the requirements. The fact is that some games, despite the large requirements, can work quite tolerably well on weaker resources. Therefore, you need to make sure that the latest version of the video card driver and motherboard is installed. It is better to check it on the official website of the manufacturer. If the models are not known exactly, it is advisable to install the Everest program and find out. Moreover, with the help of this program, you can update the driver.
Step 2
At the same time, you need to check the DirectX version, and in which case, install the latest. Also, problems may arise due to a non-updated version of Windows. Some games directly require at least Windows XP Service pack 3. But some, unfortunately, simply do not start, and it seems that the computer components are to blame, but in fact it is this conflict with the operating system. Therefore, if Windows XP is installed, you need to update it to Service pack 3.
Step 3
When such standard methods do not help, you need to look at the settings in the game itself. In particular, most likely, it all depends on the video settings. Therefore, for the normal functioning of the game, you need to change the video mode (at a minimum - with strong braking). Often, for convenience, there is an “optimization” item in the settings, the program adjusts the game itself, analyzing the capabilities of your computer's components.
Step 4
Sometimes special patches are created for games with high demands. These patches allow them to run on computers with weaker components than those stated in the requirements. Similar patches should be looked for on sites dedicated to this topic.
