Xubuntu is a Linux kernel-based operating system with fairly broad capabilities. At the same time, this operating system requires very modest system requirements by today's standards to run.
Requirements for installing Xubuntu
Installing from CD requires a DVD burner, blank disc to burn. The image takes about 1 GB. The computer on which the operating system will be installed must be equipped with a DVD drive capable of booting from CDs.
To install with USB-Flash, you need a drive with a capacity of at least 2 GB that supports USB 2.0 or higher. The computer on which you intend to install the Xubuntu operating system must support booting from USB-flash.
Xubuntu CPU Requirements
Xubuntu requires a processor with a clock speed of at least 1Ghz. For comfortable work, a processor with a multi-core architecture is desirable.
Xubuntu RAM requirements
512MB of RAM is enough to run Xubuntu. However, it should be understood that more volume is required for the application software to work. For comfortable work, you need at least 1 GB of RAM.
Xubuntu hdd requirements
A minimum installation requires at least 7 GB of free disk space. It is recommended to free up at least 20GB for comfortable work and the ability to save data. Xubuntu can handle all modern hard drives and ssd drives.
