The touch mouse, or as it is also called, the touchpad, is a great invention. But this device is no longer relevant, since many laptops are equipped with a separate USB mouse.

Step 1
Laptop users have noticed that the touchpad significantly increases the time spent on work. Don't forget that the touchpad has a low resolution. As a rule, if you need to use a graphical editor, some difficulties may arise. Also, problems with the touchpad can arise when typing, since a light touch of your finger is enough for the cursor to move to another part of the screen. Therefore, it becomes necessary to disable the touch mouse.
Step 2
Find the shortcut "My Computer" on the desktop. If it is not there, open the quick access panel, which is located at the bottom of the screen, and find the "Computer" tab.
Step 3
Right-click on the "My Computer" shortcut. Select the "Control" option from the list.

After completing these steps, the computer management window should open. Open the Utilities tab. In the list that appears, find the "Device Manager" option. Next, the administration panel will appear on the right side of the window.
Step 5
Open your account by double-clicking the left mouse button on the corresponding name icon. Find and open the Mice and Pointing Devices tab. In the list that appears, click on "Port Touchpad". After completing these steps, a window should open where you can change the properties of the touchpad. To deactivate the device, you need to click on the "Disable" function. If necessary, you can update or remove the drivers. It is worth noting that the touchpad can be reactivated at any time. To do this, select the "enable" function in the properties of the touch panel. If the option is unavailable, then a rollback is required. This will restore the previously installed drivers.
