Almost every laptop has a hidden partition. It can be deleted if desired, which allows you to free up disk space. You can also restore a hidden partition if you suddenly have any problems with it. However, computer users often have difficulties with this operation.

Necessary

Acronis Disc Director Suite

Instructions

Step 1

First, you need to create free space on the disk where the hidden partition will be located. To do this, install Acronis Disc Director Suite on your laptop. Select the "Manual Mode" section. Click "OK" to continue working. A hidden partition is stored at the beginning or end of the disk. When restoring, choose the structure that was before.

Step 2

In Acronis Disc Director Suite, select the C drive and click the Resize button. Find the "Unallocated space in front" field. Set the size. In the section titled "Unallocated space after" the parameters are equal to zero. If the hidden partition is located at the end on the disk, then these values should be equal to one. To apply the settings, click on the checkbox button. Then click the Get Started button. Reboot your computer. The place for the hidden section is ready.

Step 3

The next step is to restore the partition itself. To do this, install Acronis True Image. Open it and click "Restore" in the menu. Click on the "Search for backup" button. Specify the location of the hidden partition image and click "OK". Then select the "Restore" option. Click the "Recover disks or partitions" item and click the "Next" button. In the window that opens, select MBR and FAT32. Click Next again. In the next tab, click the "Disk Setup" button. Also select free space for local drive C and click on the "Apply" tab.

Step 4

Then click on the Change Default Settings button. Specify the section type "Main". Click the Accept button. Click on the bottom link "Change default settings" and click "Next". Again, specify the disk where the MBR will be restored. Then click on "Proceed" and wait. The hidden partition has now been restored.
