Using a computer for business purposes, people are often in a hurry and make mistakes or typos when creating texts. The text editor Microsoft Word will prompt you in time about the inaccuracies.
Instructions
Step 1
In some cases, users get in the way of standard text editing in Microsoft Word. In order not to be distracted by the corrections of the electronic editor, you can use a document that does not have this function, for example, Notepad or WordPad. If it is more convenient for you to work in Word, turn off AutoFormat, i.e. document editing, configured by default in this program.
Step 2
Open a Microsoft Word text document. On the taskbar, find the "Format" section, left-click on it. In the context menu that opens, select the "AutoFormat" column. In the document formatting settings, click on the "Details" button. Here you can save your custom settings for the built-in text editor.
Step 3
Note that there are several tabs in the review settings. Activate the AutoCorrect tab. Here are the functions that you can activate or deactivate in this section. Uncheck the boxes in the lines you need to disable this type of text correction. If you need to return some functions, just check the box back. In the AutoCorrect tab, you can adjust the actions of Microsoft Word, such as spell checking, spelling of upper and lower case letters, correcting the keyboard layout, and replacing the words you specify.
Step 4
In the next tab "Autoformat as you type" you can configure the styles of writing text - fonts, format of headings, the way of writing fractional numbers and supra-text characters.
Step 5
The "Autotext" section allows you to create some text templates, which include courtesy formulas, some bureaucracy and other frequently used expressions. You can add your own phrases and delete existing ones. Using this function will significantly reduce your time when writing a document.
Step 6
The column "AutoFormat" regulates the spelling of titles and some extra-text characters, the creation of text styles, creates automatic replacement of characters - for example, the spelling "-" is automatically changed to the "dash" character. The latest AutoFormat Settings feature makes it easy to create smart tags.
Step 7
After you have set for yourself the necessary editing options for Microsoft Word, click on the "Apply" and "OK" buttons. Now these settings will be applied to all documents of this type, until you change the "AutoFormat" parameters.
