Step 1
First of all, you need to download a program called Recovery Toolbox for word. Install the program on your computer and run.

Select the damaged document or template. To do this, start Windows Explorer. To do this, click on the button with the image of the folder. It is very convenient in this case that all the formats that have ever been selected are added to the quick access list. In the future, you can select them by pressing the button with a black triangle. After selecting the formats, the program will display a dialog box asking if you can start scanning. After the scan is completed, which may take a different time depending on several factors, the program will display all the information it was able to recover. Review it carefully and make sure that you get the desired result and the files you need are restored.

Now you need to save the received information to the hard disk. To do this, click the Start Recovery button. A menu with two items will appear on the screen. When you select the first one (Export to MS Word), the Word program will start, the document of which will contain the text of the recovered file. You can edit this file, save, basically, do whatever you want.
Step 5
When choosing the second menu item (Save as plan text), specify the folder and file name. The program itself will create this file and copy all the necessary data there.
Step 6
After all the operations done, the program will display a report on the work performed, it will contain information about all files scanned and restored during this session.
