Most of the personal documents, important work and school files and many other printed texts and tables today are contained in the Microsoft Word format, but sometimes the saved Word files for some reason turn out to be damaged and inaccessible. If the file existed in a single copy, and automatic document recovery in Word does not work, do not rush to get upset - it can be restored using a separate Word Recovery Toolbox utility.
Instructions
Step 1
Download and install the utility, and then find the damaged text document in any of the formats supported by the program - doc, rtf, docx and others. The interface of the utility is very simple, and even a non-professional computer user can handle it.
Step 2
Upload the file to Word Recovery Toolbox, and then go to the list of quick access to documents that will appear in the program. Find the required file in this list and click on it with the left mouse button. Start the scanning process by pressing the corresponding key.
Step 3
Please be patient - depending on the file size, scanning may take some time. After the scan is completed, you can view the recovered document and understand what percentage of the information was recovered, and whether some of the information was lost during the scanning process.
Step 4
In addition, you can try to save the damaged file as plain text without formatting by selecting the Save as Plane text option in the program menu. Give the new text document any name and save it on your hard drive. If necessary, read the document recovery report provided by Word Recovery Toolbox.
Step 5
You can recover a document using this program after any damage, whether it is a system error or a virus infection during sending by e-mail. The recovery program works on all Windows operating systems, including Vista and supports all versions of Microsoft Word.
