To optimize the speed of Internet access using a dsl channel, it is recommended to use a whole set of programs. They all serve different functions and are great complements for each other.

Instructions
Step 1
Prepare your computer for the best possible performance. Open the "My Computer" menu and right-click on the hard disk partition on which the operating system is installed. Open the properties for this section. Click the Disk Cleanup button and follow this procedure to get rid of unnecessary files.
Step 2
Disable unused services. Many of them use their internet connection periodically, thus clogging up the channel. Open the control panel and go to the "System and Security" menu. Now open the "Administration" menu and click on the "Services" shortcut.
Step 3
Disable unnecessary services after making sure that this process does not harm the normal operation of the operating system. To do this, carefully read the descriptions for each service. Disable the startup of these processes so that you do not have to manually stop them after each restart of the computer.
Step 4
Download the "Internet Optimizer" program. You will need it to automatically configure your network connection. Install this utility and run it. Select the operating system you are using. Specify the type of internet connection (DSL, LAN, etc.). Enter the MTU value that is specified in the settings of your dsl modem. Move the slider in the "Speed settings" item to the "Fast" indicator. Click the "Optimize" button and wait until the required operations are completed.
Step 5
Download and install Traffic Compressor software. Launch this application and select the nominal internet speed advertised by your ISP. Click the Enable button and check the box next to Run at Windows logon. Minimize the window of this program, allowing it to run in automatic mode.
