Instructions

Step 1

Download the Dreamweaver templates that work for you from the Internet. To do this, visit the sites dedicated to working with the program. All installation templates in the program must have the.dwt extension. Usually plugins for this program are available in zip and rar archive formats, and therefore you need to unzip them before using. To do this, you can use the WinRAR utility.

Step 2

Place the resulting file in the Template directory of the site that you create with Dreamweaver. If you do not have any current project, then to add a template to the program, simply double-click on it with the left mouse button to open it. The design of this template will be displayed on the screen and you can edit it using the corresponding functions of the control panel.

Step 3

To create a new project with a template installed, open Dreamweaver and choose File> New. In the window that appears, go to the "Templates" tab and click on the newly added design.

Step 4

Dreamweaver tools also allow you to create a template for your site yourself from an existing html document. To do this, open it using the program ("File" - "Open"). After that, go to the "File" - "Save as Template" tab. In the "General" tab, press the "Templates" key and select "Create Template".

Step 5

In the pop-up menu that appears, enter the desired name for the template and click "Save". The files will be saved with a.dwt extension and can be imported and used when creating other projects and resources.

Step 6

A new plug-in can also be created through the panel "Window" - "Assets" - "Template". Click on the "Create Template" button. Enter its name and press the "Enter" button. The program will create an empty template in which you can add the necessary elements and subsequently save.
