Today there are a large number of programs that are widely used by musicians. A number of tuners, music editors and sound recording utilities can be downloaded from the Internet. Not so long ago, applications have appeared that allow you to write notes using the keyboard, which makes the musician's work much easier and faster.
Instructions
Step 1
Note editors are programs that are used to write notes from a computer. They allow you to type musical text, perform copy-paste operations, place the staff and print the result. Some applications are also capable of playing the dialed melodies.
Step 2
To write melodies, install the music editor you like. Among the most famous utilities are Finale, Encore and Cakewalk. Download the utility you like the most by familiarizing yourself with its functionality on the developer's official website. Install it according to the instructions of the installer.
Step 3
To work with such programs, a single basis is used - the palette system. It consists of several buttons for entering a score into a text file, consisting of the same elements - keys, notes of different lengths, random signs, chord designations, etc. The palette looks like a set of elements, which in appearance is similar to the toolbar of the graphic editors Photoshop or GIMP.
Step 4
To add the desired element, select the corresponding instrument on the palette and place it on the staff of the page, which is configured using the corresponding item in the settings of the selected application. Before using the instruments, select the desired score, set the number of staff using the corresponding functions in the program window or the proposed templates.
Step 5
Enter the title of the title page, the song, and the name of the composer. Set the font size and the size of the displayed items. In the Page Setup dialog you can set the horizontal or vertical position of the sheet. After all the formatting operations, start setting the key of the new piece using the menu commands Measures or Change key. After that, you can start writing a melody and setting additional settings.
