Typically, each button performs multiple tasks or is capable of printing different graphics. The main character field is indicated in two colors, with each character on the button in its place. Modern computer and laptop keyboards have symbols in the third color. These are the keys responsible for system functions, in addition to which actions are set to reduce the user's work time.

Find the "Fn" button on your keyboard. It is highlighted in a contrasting color in relation to the main designations of the keys and is most often located in the bottom row of buttons. Pressing it activates the third type of keyboard function: characters highlighted in the same color as the Fn key itself.

Find the keys that have sound markings in a contrasting color. Most often these are column signs. If a large number of lines emanate from it, it means that it makes the sound louder. The button with fewer lines at the speaker decreases the sound. The crossed-out column pattern indicates instant mute. She also turns it on if the sound was turned off. Press and hold the Fn key while adjusting the volume of your computer using the buttons indicated.

The small keyboard is equipped with Winamp control buttons. While listening to music in this program, press and hold the "Shift" key while simultaneously holding down the numbers "8" and "2", which corresponds to the commands "louder" and "quieter". The function of these keys can be performed by the up and down arrow keys while pressing the Shift key.
