Often, the reason for the lack of sound on the pages of your favorite site lies in a banal failure of your browser settings. You can correct this misunderstanding yourself by making just a few clicks with your computer mouse.

Instructions

Step 1

If you suddenly lost sound in the Internet Explorer browser, or the sound is not reproduced in it in principle, proceed according to the following recommendations.

First of all, check if the audio playback option is actually enabled in the browser itself. You can do this by going to the "Multimedia" section (the full path begins like this: Start - Programs - Internet Explorer (select "Tools" in the menu bar) - Internet Options - Advanced tab). When you find the desired section, in the window that opens, you will see the inscription "Play sounds on web pages." Check the corresponding item (left-click) if it was not there before.

Step 2

There is another possible reason for the lack of sound: for some reason, the program on the site is running with errors. Accordingly, the browser settings in this case will not lead to anything.

Step 3

If your main browser is not Internet Explorer, but Mazilla Firefox, you need to perform slightly different actions on your personal computer.

If the links to sound files do not want to open in the media player, and the built-in (own) Mazilla cannot launch them, open Mazilla and click on the "Tools" button in the top menu. Then you have to go along the path: Settings - Applications tab - Sound Recorder, and install "Use Windows Media Player".

Step 4

If sites on your PC are opened through the Opera browser, then restoring the sound will be as easy as described above. To check if all the settings are correct, open your browser, go to the "Applications" menu by clicking on the icon in the lower left corner. In the menu that appears, select "Settings" - "General settings". In the new window go to the "Advanced" tab and in the left menu find and click on "Content". Make sure there is a checkbox for "Enable sound on web pages".
