The vast majority of computer users already have access to the Internet. And many are accustomed to the fact that their computer is integrated with others. But sometimes it is necessary to create a faster local network in terms of data transfer between computers.
Necessary
- network cables
- switch or switch
Instructions
Step 1
Determine the number of computers that will be part of your local network. Based on this figure, purchase a switch or switch with the required number of LAN ports. Remember, it's best to purchase a device with more ports in advance.
Step 2
Connect all computers to the switch or switch using a standard network cable with a bandwidth of 100 Mbps. This requires at least one free network card in each computer.
Step 3
Open the network connection settings on any computer. Go to TCP / IPv4 properties. Enter an arbitrary IP address consisting of four numbers ranging from 1 to 250. Press Tab for the system to automatically detect the subnet mask.
Step 4
Do the same for all other computers, entering the first three digits in the "IP address" line that match the first computer. The last digits of the IP addresses must be different on all computers.
