Sometimes it happens that you desperately need a beautiful thematic photo that you found on the Internet - but for some reason this photo is crossed out with a watermark in the form of translucent text, reminding everyone about the copyright for the photo and preventing its illegal use. However, you can get rid of this translucent text to use the photo as intended.
Instructions
Step 1
To do this, load the photo into Adobe Photoshop and carefully select all the outlines of the text on the watermark. For selection use a mask, Pen Tool or Lasso Tool. After the selection is made, duplicate it to a new layer by clicking on the selected area with the right mouse button and choosing the Layer via Copy option. Alternatively, you can simply duplicate the layer by clicking the Duplicate Layer option.
Step 2
Change the blending mode of the layers - in case of different levels of transparency of the text, different modes may suit you. Choose the Blending Mode, in which the text will be completely absent from the image - for example, Multiply.
Step 3
The text will disappear, and the colors in its place will be as close as possible to those that should be in the original photo in these places. However, in some areas the colors may differ - in this case, select the desired area and duplicate it on a new layer, then merge this layer with the lower one by choosing the option in the layers palette Merge Down.
Step 4
Select the Smudge option from the toolbar and gently blur the color transitions with a soft brush to make them invisible.
Step 5
Re-select a separate text layer and erase those parts of the inscription that match the colors of the photo after changing the blending mode of the layers. Process the remaining fragments that differ in color from the original photo, changing the blending modes of the layers until you are satisfied with the result.
Step 6
Use the Burn and Dodge tools to darken and lighten some parts of the image.
