It is necessary

  • - Counter-Strike game;
  • - text editor.

Instructions

Step 1

Counter-Strike's capabilities allow you to very accurately adjust the gameplay settings. Thanks to this feature, each player can independently choose the parameters suitable for him. Open the "My Computer" menu and go to the game folder.

Step 2

Open the cstrike directory and create a text document, the name of which will contain numbers and Latin letters. For convenience, use the name NoLags. Change the extension of the resulting file from txt to cfg.

Step 3

Open this document with Notepad or WordPad. To get started, enter the sv_unlag command and set parameter 1 for it. This is a standard game function that allows the rest of the commands you need to work.

Step 4

Now set the parameter to 0 for the cl_download_ingame command. This feature prohibits downloading files during gameplay. Enter the following commands in sequence: sv_unlagmax "0.5"; max_shells "0"; max_smokepuffs "0"; cl_weather "0"; cl_lb "1"; cl_nodelta "0".

Step 5

Set the cl_rate parameter to 25000. Set the cl_cmdrate and cl_updaterate functions to 101. Save the file. Create a new text document. Rename it to userconfig.cfg.

Step 6

Open the resulting file and enter the exec NoLags.cfg command in it. now your config will be loaded after starting the game. Open Counter-Strike and connect to the server of your choice.

Step 7

Press the Tab key and look at the metric in the Ping column. If its value exceeds 50 ms, change some config settings. Lower the cl_cmdrate and cl_updaterate values. Set the indicator for the first team to 5 units less than for the second.

Step 8

Remember that the two indicated commands are responsible for the number of packets transmitted per second. A significant reduction in them will lead to the fact that some of the information from the server will simply not be received by the client.
