UIN (Universal Identification Number) is a unique identification number assigned to each user when creating an account in the ICQ program and used in the future.
Instructions
Step 1
Download the distribution kit of the ICQ program from the official website or use the option to download one of the client applications - Miranda, Trillian, QIP, Simple Instant Messenger or Jimm (for a mobile phone) - depending on the operating system installed.
Step 2
Run the executable file of the program and follow the recommendations of the installation wizard.
Step 3
Please confirm your agreement to the software license agreement and make sure you have an active Internet connection.
Step 4
Wait until the automatic installation of the program is completed (by default, the save location will be C: Program FilesICQ) and enter the required data in the new user registration form.
Step 5
Determine the type of Internet connection you are using and apply the checkbox to the LAN User field when connecting via a local network or leased line.
Step 6
Enter your desired username in the Nickname field and fill in your real username information in the First Name field.
Step 7
Enter your email address in the E-mail field and your gender in the Gender line.
Step 8
Enter the value of the desired password in the Choose password field and confirm your choice by re-entering the same value in the Confirm password field.
Step 9
Select security questions and save the answers to be able to recover your registration data.
Step 10
Enter the value of the characters in the picture and click the submit button to submit the UIN request.
Step 11
Wait until you receive an e-mail with the required individual number and follow the specified link to complete the registration process.
Step 12
Launch the ICQ program and enter the data of the received Universal Identification Number (UIN) and the selected password in the corresponding fields of the application window. 14. Click the "Connect" button to complete the installation process.
