Movies in mkv format weigh quite a lot, but this is due to the fact that this file contains several audio tracks in different languages. For many users, this viewing option is quite convenient.
Necessary
- - computer;
- - video player.
Instructions
Step 1
If you are opening your video file with the standard Windows Media Player, press the Alt key during playback. In the menu that appears, set the playback language via the sound and dubbed tracks menu. If you have an English version of the operating system, this menu will be called Audio and Language Traks.
Step 2
If you are watching a movie in KmPlayer, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + X to bring up the menu. After that, in the menu, set the desired sound track.
Step 3
If you want to make only one audio track in your video, use special editors for this that are available for download on the Internet, for example, VirtualDubMod.
Step 4
Just open your movie in its menu, select unnecessary tracks with the mouse and the Ctrl key, and then click "Delete Audio Tracks". Here you can add other soundtracks to the movie, which you can download from the Internet. This is quite convenient when the file does not contain the required voice acting.
Step 5
Download a player with a user-friendly interface for viewing video files and set up the choice of tracks in it when opening files by default. Please refer to the instruction to perform the track control function when playing such media files on various stand-alone devices. Often times, track selection is only available with the remote control. If you are viewing a disc with a movie containing several audio tracks, usually the selection of the one you need is carried out from the main menu when you open the disc.
Step 6
Read about the languages available for your film on the back of the package. This is usually only available for licensed discs. Always pay attention to the back of the packaging when buying.
