The need to use the command line arises, as a rule, for experienced users who know why this tool is needed and how to use it. However, some people may not like the standard display settings of the interface of this program. It's easy to customize it for yourself.
Instructions
Step 1
In order to start the command line, you need to go to the "Start" menu and select the "Run" item, then in the window that appears with an input field (you can also call the input field by using the Win + R key combination), you need to type the command "cmd”And press the Enter button.
Step 2
Right-click on the top of the command line form to bring up the context menu. In this menu, select an option such as "Properties", calling the window of the same name.
Step 3
Please note that initially the "General" tab opens in this window. On this tab, you can set the parameters of the command buffer, edits and set the size of the cursor. If, when working with the command line, you use many commands that are often repeated, it makes sense to increase the size and number of buffers. The size indicates the amount of information stored as one repetition of the command. The number of buffers indicates how many commands can be repeated using this tool.
Step 4
Check the boxes next to the "Select with the mouse" and "Quick Paste". When using these options, you do not need to memorize long text commands, if they can be placed in the clipboard (copied), after which this text can be pasted with one click of the left mouse button.
Step 5
Click on the "Font" tab. Here you can select the most appropriate font option, which will be used to display all the text in the command line window.
Step 6
Click on the "Font" tab. Here you can choose the most suitable font for you, with which all text will be displayed in the command line window.
Step 7
Click on the "Layout" tab. Here you can configure not only the size of the screen buffer (i.e. the amount of information displayed at a time), but also the size of the command line window itself, since initially, it may be too small, making it difficult to write complex commands.
Step 8
Click on the "Colors" tab. You will only need it if you are not satisfied with the color scheme of the text displayed in the command line. Here, set all the settings to your liking.
