"Favorites" - browser history, in which the user can add the addresses of frequently visited sites. So that you can easily get your Favorites back, train yourself to back up your history from time to time.
Instructions
Step 1
Start Internet Explorer in the usual way. Make sure full screen is disabled. If not, return to the usual way of displaying the program window by pressing the F11 key. Click the yellow star button on the toolbar.
Step 2
The full menu will expand, click the arrow-shaped button opposite the "Add to Favorites" item and select the "Import and Export" command from the context menu. A new dialog box will open. Select the "Export to file" box with a marker and click the "Next" button.
Step 3
Specify what you want to save the Favorites Journal and move on to the next step. The log tree expands in the Import-Export Options window. Select the folder or subfolder you are going to export, confirm your choice with the "Next" button.
Step 4
In the Enter or browse to file field, enter the address of the folder on your computer where you want to save the log. You can also use the Browse button to select the desired directory.
Step 5
The Favorites file is named bookmark by default. You can rename it. If you plan to export the log to another browser in the future, it is better to choose the.html format - any Internet browser recognizes it.
Step 6
After specifying the directory, name and required format, click on the "Export" button. The browser will notify you of how the operation went. Click on the "Finish" button, the export-import window will close automatically.
Step 7
To return the Favorites history later, expand the Add to Favorites folder again and select Import and Export. Check the "Import from file" and "Favorites" items in the opened dialog box.
Step 8
Specify the directory where the log backup is stored by entering the path to it in the field provided for this, or use the Browse button. Select the destination folder for the imported log and click the Import button. The browser will again notify you of how the operation went. Click on the "Finish" button.
