Internet browsers use a log that stores information about viewed pages, downloaded files, passwords, etc. The log cleanup interface is implemented differently in different software products.
Instructions
Step 1
To delete information from the Internet Explorer 7 web browser history, select Tools from its menu, and then open the Delete Browsing History section. If you need to delete any specific categories of information, click on the "Delete" button opposite them. If you need to delete all information from the log, click on the "Delete all" button.
Step 2
In Internet Explorer 8 or 9, open the Security menu item, and then select the Delete Browsing History section. Check the box next to the categories of information that you want to remove. If you delete files associated with sites in the "Favorite" and you do not need cookies, check the box next to "Save selected websites data". After that, click on the "Delete" button.
Step 3
In Mozilla Firefox, open the Options menu and select the Privacy tab. Click on the link "Clear your recent history". In the window that appears, select the time period whose history you want to clear. Then click on the "Details" button. Check the box next to the categories of information that you want to remove. Then click the "Clear Now" button.
Step 4
In the Opera web browser, open the "Settings" menu item and select the "Delete personal data" subsection. Click on the "Detailed settings" button. In the list that appears, check the boxes next to the items in which you want to delete information. After that click on the "Delete" button.
Step 5
In Google Chrome, open the "Settings" menu item and select "Delete data about viewed documents". Specify the appropriate options and click the Delete Browsing Data button.
Step 6
In Apple Safari, open History from the menu. Select the subsection "Clear history" and click on the "Clear" button.
