First you need to start the registry. You can do it like this:
1. In some versions of Windows, the "Registry" is launched from the drop-down menu "My Computer". Right-click on the "My Computer" icon, then click on "Registry Editor"
2. This method works on all versions of Windows. Click on the "Start" button, then "Run …." or simply by pressing the keyboard shortcut "Windows (checkbox button) + R. In the window that opens, enter" Regedit.exe ". The Registry Editor window will open.
Step 2
If you need to delete a directory (for example, a program that was uninstalled incorrectly during the uninstallation process), then first find this directory in the drop-down lists. Usually programs are found in HKEY_CURRENT_USER or HKEY_USERS. When you find the desired program, then right-click on it, then uninstall. That's all. All ingenious is simple.
Step 3
Also, deleting information from the registry implies cleaning it from "trash". This can be done using special programs (utilities), for example, using the CCleaner program. The program is free. Download and install it on your computer. To optimize the registry, follow the instructions: click on the "Registry" button in the program window, then at the bottom of the program, find the "Search for problems" button. The process of troubleshooting and damage to the registry will start. When the search is over, click on the "Fix" button. A window will appear asking whether to back up the changed data, click "No", as this is not required. Then click "Fix Selected", "OK". When the cleaning process is over, click the "Close" button.
