Podcasts have recently entered our lives, but have become an almost indispensable source of information for many, thanks to their ease of use and the ability to listen on portable devices. Each person can create their own audio or video podcast, share their news and opinions, convey certain information to people. Podcasts can be included in the news feed - this is convenient in the framework of the fact that it is preferable for a person to listen to news selectively. You can also embed them in your blogs and even in some forums.

Instructions
Step 1
Download a podcast software on the Internet. They are paid and free. The first ones are distinguished by advanced functionality. Some of the programs only have an audio recording function, but most support video recording as well.
Step 2
Make sure that the hardware is installed correctly in your computer - all the necessary wires of the microphone and camera are connected, all devices have software.
Step 3
Set the microphone as an input device in the program settings if the configuration does not support automatic settings. Adjust the input gain of the equipment based on your distance from the equipment during the podcast recording process.
Step 4
Make a test audio or video using a microphone or webcam by clicking the corresponding buttons in the program menu. When finished recording, click Stop. Most podcast creation and publishing software has an intuitive interface, so you can easily figure out the purpose of the menu icons. You can also make a recording with a regular video camera, saving it in a format that supports the program you downloaded, for its further publication on the Internet.
Step 5
Listen or watch your test recording, check if the microphone gain is sufficient and you can be clearly seen in the camera. Adjust the settings according to your observations.
Step 6
Edit the final podcast - trim an audio or video file, cut out unnecessary moments from the recording. Usually a file editor comes with podcast software, but if you don't have one, use Windows Movie Maker, a standard program that all users of the operating system have. If you need to edit an audio file, it is better to use special software for working with audio recordings.
Step 7
Save the podcast in its final form, open the program for publishing them and use it to upload your recording to the server you need.
