Instructions
Step 1
Create a document that contains basic page information, such as article text with a title, directions, basic comments, and so on. The most important thing is that the print version does not contain banners, large pictures and other similar elements.
Step 2
Distribute the blocks of the page so that the text fits on an A4 sheet. Save space by excluding non-text images from the page. If the page does not completely fit on the A4 sheet, adjust the transfer.
Step 3
If, during the transfer, about half of the second (third, whatever will be the last) page is free, add pictures and other deleted data to the print version, but make sure that they carry a meaning for the readers. Also take into account the peculiarities of monitors of different resolutions, please note that, most likely, printed versions of sites are needed by users with low-resolution monitors.
Step 4
Use classes and IDs to hide extra data from the page. For items that are not intended to be displayed in a printable version, assign a newly created class, such as noprint. If you want to specify the prohibition of printing images from banners, use the mask. In your CSS, add the following: img [src * = "/ ban /"] {display: none! Important; }
Step 5
Specify: This is done if you want print.css to be processed only at print run time. Don't forget to add a link for the print version.
Step 6
To place a print link for your web page, simply use the following template: Print this page.
