The refresh rate of the screen, the so-called sweep, determines the number of "flickers" on the screen per second. The comfort of working at a computer is directly proportional to the magnitude of the monitor scan. There are several ways to change the refresh rate.

Instructions

Step 1

Minimize all active windows so that only the Windows desktop is displayed. Move the mouse cursor to any empty place on the desktop and click once with the right mouse button to bring up the context menu. Select the "Properties" line in it. The Desktop Preferences dialog box will open. Go to the parameters tab and click the "Advanced" button in it. In the monitor connection module control window that opens, go to the "Monitor" tab. Select the refresh rate of the screen from the monitor parameters and select the required scan value from the drop-down list.

Step 2

In the manner described in the previous step, open the context menu of the desktop and click on the "Graphic characteristics" line. This command opens the utility that comes with the video card and controls it. Go to the "Parameters" tab and, in the same way as described earlier, select the required sweep value in the drop-down list. Wait for the screen refresh rate change to be applied and compare the visual effect with the previous refresh rate value. Save your changes.

Step 3

Go to the Start menu and launch the Windows Control Panel. Find the shortcut named "Screen" and double-click on it. The screen settings window will open, the same as after clicking the "Properties" button in the context menu of the desktop. You can change the screen refresh rate using the method described in the first step.
