To date, a huge number of films have been released. And they differ from each other not only in genre, duration and staging, but also in the recording format, for example, the presence of vob files, which often causes difficulties when watching films.

Instructions
Step 1
If the Windows operating system is installed on your personal computer, download Media Player Classic (MPC) or VideoLAN VLC media player or Microsoft Windows Media Player on the Internet. Install the downloaded program and start the DVD: the program will automatically open everything.
Step 2
Provided that the computer is running Linux, download the VideoLAN VLC media player program on the global network and install it on the PC. With the help of this software, a movie recorded on a DVD with vob files can be played without any problems.
Step 3
If your PC has a Mac OS, search the Internet for Apple DVD Player or VideoLAN VLC media player or Roxio Popcorn 4 and download such a program to your computer. Install it. This special program will automatically open the running DVD movie by itself.
Step 4
Insert the DVD into the slide out tray of the DVD player and start it. Movie playback will not cause problems.
Step 5
If you encounter a faulty vob file that has length problems, download the mkvmerge program and the latest version of Haali media splitter (this software is often called Matroska media splitter) on the Internet. Install the downloaded programs without changing the settings. Then be sure to restart your PC. The latest version of Matroska media splitter will not pick up wob files. It will display the message: "mpeg_ps_reader: Could not open file". So load all vob files of one movie into DGIndex (start with the first file, zero, for example, VTS_01_0. VOB, do not touch). Then click Video, then Field Operation, and then Honor Pulldown Flags and click on File - Save Project and Demux Video. Give the file any name, for example 333. And only after the word Finish appears, look at the entry on the Video Type line. It should indicate PAL or NTSC. Otherwise, the video will have to be re-encoded into the avi XViD format.
