Choosing the right game is probably the hardest part of an amateur player. However, if you purchased a disc with the game, you have a new task - to install it on your laptop.

Step 1
Despite the complex name (installation), the process of installing the game (and any program) is quite simple. Before installing a game on a laptop, make sure that the game's hardware requirements are met. Each more or less complex game has its own system requirements, which are usually indicated on the back of the disc packaging. If your laptop does not meet even the minimum requirements, unfortunately, it is pointless to install this game. Try replacing the disc at a store.
Step 2
Insert the disc into the laptop drive. Wait until the media autorun works and the game installation start window appears on the screen. If autorun is disabled or did not work, go to the optical media section and start the installation of the game manually. To do this, click "My Computer". Next, select the name of the disk and click on it with the right mouse button. In the context menu, click "Open with Explorer".
Step 3
Follow the steps in the installation wizard. Usually these are standard requests: on which partition to install the game, whether to create a folder in the "Start" menu, whether to make a shortcut on the desktop and other initial parameters. We recommend installing games on partition D or any other, without affecting the system partition C, since modern games require a lot of free space.
Step 4
If the game requires a disc at startup, for convenience, you can make an image of the game disc and connect it to the virtual drive. However, many games have built-in security, and imaging may fail with an error. After finishing the installation, start the game. If you get error messages when you try to start it, do not rush to close them and delete the game. Search the Internet for the error that occurs and find out how to fix it.
