Today we have a large selection of games for every taste and style. Some of them can be purchased already on the media, some can be downloaded from the Internet. To store all the information on the hard disk, of course, but there comes a time when the space runs out, and the games need to be transferred to the media.
Instructions
Step 1
If the game is free and has been downloaded as a file or files, you can easily burn them to a CD or DVD disc. You will need the installation files. If you copy an already installed game to disk, chances are that it will not launch.
Step 2
The simplest way is to use standard Windows operating system resources. Insert a blank disc into the drive, the OS will turn on the autorun window. Select the "Burn files to disk" item in it. Then select the medium to which you want to burn the game: USB or CD / DVD. On the top line, write the name of the drive. Click "Next".
Step 3
A window will open containing a hidden Desktop.ini file. This is the window where you want to copy the game. You can drag and drop or use the Clipboard Copy / Paste commands. When the game files appear in the window, click "Burn to CD" and wait for the Burning Disc Wizard to complete its work.
Step 4
You can use one of the software or software packages designed specifically for burning discs. They differ in the interface and the name of some functions, but not in the principle of operation. Take, for example, Nero (in the package there are applications for creating DVD and working with audio), a trial version of which can be downloaded from the official website of the manufacturer. Install it on your computer, start Nero Burning ROM. The main window of the program and the "New Project" window will open, in which you need to specify the recording parameters, such as speed, file system, finalization, multisession. After you have specified the settings, click the "New" button.
Step 5
A window will open, divided into two parts. On the right, a list of files on the media is displayed, on the left - to be recorded. Specify the directory containing the game in the right window and drag it to the left. Dragging can be done from the explorer windows. When all the game files are ready, click Burn, then Burn. Wait for the media to finish writing.
Step 6
Some game discs are write protected. To transfer such a game to disk, you will need to create a disk image, then mount it on a virtual disk drive. Recording can be performed in Nero, Alcohol 120% programs, drive emulation in: Virtual CD, Phantom CD.
