Problems turning on your computer can occur for a variety of reasons related to hardware or software problems. Depending on this, a suitable troubleshooting method must be selected.
Hardware problems
If when you press the power button on the system unit, the indicators do not turn on, and there are no sound signals, most likely the problems have arisen in the equipment itself. Make sure that all necessary devices, including the power cord, are connected to the connectors on the back of the system unit. If everything is in order, but the computer still does not turn on, remove the side wall of the unit and check the fastenings of the internal cables, make sure that the components are not clogged with dust, the fans on the processor and video card rotate freely.
If you have difficulty in determining the cause of the breakdown of your computer, do not try to fix anything yourself. Send the computer to a service center for diagnostics.
In the event that the indicators light up, but you do not see the image on the monitor, this may be due to a problem with the latter. The monitor may be burned out or misconfigured. Review the manual that came with it, or consider replacing your broken device under warranty.
Systemic problems
If any inscriptions appear on the screen, but there is no further download, carefully study all the messages. There may be a failure in the motherboard program - BIOS. In this case, resetting the BIOS settings to the initial ones can help, which can be found in the manual for the computer or motherboard. Also try pressing the Del or F1 key several times in a row.
In some cases, you need to set your computer's hard drive as the initial boot device in the BIOS settings. If it is not possible to determine the reason for the failure to boot the computer, update the BIOS firmware at a service center or replace the motherboard.
If the computer starts to boot normally, but the operating system stops loading, the operating system may have failed in its configuration due to incorrect settings or exposure to viruses. Try pressing F8 several times before starting the boot, then try to start the system in safe mode.
Boot from the installation disc of your operating system. In the menu presented, select the function of recovery or installation of the system, depending on the nature of the faults.
Perform a system restore by booting into safe mode. Set the rollback point to the date of the last normal state of the system. Also check your hard drive for viruses.
