Asking for a password when logging in is a fairly reliable protection against unauthorized access to files on your computer. If you no longer need protection, you can disable the password when turning on the computer.
Instructions
Step 1
Log in to the system with an Administrator account. Open the "Control Panel" via the "Start" button. If you can't find Control Panel in the Start menu, customize how it appears. To do this, right-click on the taskbar and select Properties from the context menu.
Step 2
In the "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties" dialog box that opens, go to the "Start Menu" tab and click on the "Customize" button in the "Start Menu" field. A new dialog box will open. Select the "Advanced" tab in it, in the "Start Menu Items" group, use the scroll bar to find the "Control Panel" item and put a marker in the "Display as link" or "Display as menu" field. Click the OK button, apply the new settings and close the properties window. After that, open the "Control Panel" as described in the first step.
Step 3
On the "Control Panel" select the "User Accounts" section and the icon of the same name or the "Change Account" task. A new dialog box will open. Click on the Admin icon (Computer administrator) with the left mouse button or select the "Change password" command from the offered list of actions.
Step 4
In the updated window, in the first field, enter the password with which you entered the system. Leave the rest of the fields blank. Click on the "Change Password" button. After that, you will no longer need to enter the password when turning on the computer.
Step 5
When disabling a password, remember that not only is it needed to protect your computer from outsiders, but it can also be used by other services to run certain tasks. For example, a scheduled shutdown is performed by the system on behalf of the administrator, and a password is required to use the Scheduled Tasks component.
