Restoring the transparency of the background of the names of shortcuts on the desktop can be performed using standard tools of the Windows operating system and does not require the involvement of additional third-party programs.
Instructions
Step 1
Click the "Start" button to bring up the main menu of the system and go to the "Control Panel" item to adjust the transparency of the desktop shortcuts through the user interface.

Specify the "System" item and go to the "Advanced" item.

Expand the Performance Options link and click the Visual Effects tab.

Apply a check mark to the box "Drop shadows on desktop icons."

Return to the main Start menu and go to Control Panel.

Click the Customize Desktop button and go to the Web tab.

Open Notepad to restore the background transparency of your desktop shortcuts using a registry tweak.

Save the created file with any name and.reg extension, enclosing the file name and extension in quotation marks.

Double click on the created file and agree to the system's proposal to enter data into the registry.
