Almost all visual effects on the desktop are configured in the display properties. If, for example, everyone knows how to change the picture on the desktop, then some of the other rendering parameters are not familiar to everyone. For example, not everyone knows how to make icons on the desktop transparent.
Instructions
Step 1
Turn on the computer and make sure that no active processes are displayed on the monitor, in other words, all that the user should see on the monitor screen is the desktop icons and the background image. If the screen displays the work of active programs, for example, activity indicators or processor temperature, then it is better to minimize them for a while. You should also remove active gadgets that are displayed on the desktop. All this will help to avoid visualization defects that can occur when changing the desktop settings.
Step 2
After the preparation process is completed, you can go directly to the process of changing the properties of desktop icons. Press the key combination "Windows" + "E". If anyone does not know, the "Windows" key is located on the very bottom row of the keyboard, the penultimate one on the left. It also has a Microsoft icon on it.
Step 3
The service menu appears. Find the line "Folder Options", then go to the "View" parameter, find the "Hidden files" parameter and check the "Show hidden files" checkbox next to this parameter. Then go to the properties of the icons on the screen. This can be done simply by right-clicking on the desired icon, thereby opening the context menu of the icon.
Step 4
From the context menu, select the Properties option. This is the bottom-most option in the context menu. That's it, you went to the "Properties" command of the desktop icons. Now all you have to do is click on the "Hidden" option. Then select the "Save" command and click "OK". That's all, the icon we need has a transparent look. Thus, we can make all desktop icons transparent, or only those that we need.
