Many PC users have heard of unlicensed, counterfeit software. To hack licensed programs with the aim of using them free of charge, some hackers write special software - "cracks".
The vast majority of serious programs from the world's leading software giants are provided to users for money, and more often than not, considerable ones. This applies to operating systems from Microsoft, database software from Oracle, numerous developments by Adobe and many others. There is also an alternative, free software, and it is sometimes no less functional than commercial counterparts. But there are not so many such software, distributed under the GNU license and at the same time providing excellent functionality. This is an open source Open Office project, a full-featured GIMP graphics editor that rivals the famous Photoshop, and a few other good things. There are also many interesting small programs that are distributed free of charge.
Use free software or pay
Another very interesting type of commercial software is called shareware. This is -
• shareware-versions, called among computer scientists simply "bloomers";
• whole software packages like Microsoft Office, which, like “harem pants”, are trial versions of “try and then buy” software that work only for a certain time;
• programs that provide only limited features without purchasing the full version.
Of course, commercial software in general is much more functional than free counterparts. But if the user is satisfied with the free functionality, the money can not be spent. However, professional designers, photographers, musicians, videographers will not have enough of such functionality, so they will have to buy "monsters" like Adobe Photoshop, Premiere or InDesign. And such packages cost a lot of money.
Is it possible to use commercial programs for free
Any commercial software can be used for free. There are two options here. The first one is completely legal and represents the use of trial versions for a certain period of time. You can download this version from the manufacturer's official website. After the trial period ends, the software stops working, offering to continue working to enter the code received on the manufacturer's website in exchange for payment.
The second way to use commercial software for free is illegal. To do this, you can download a program hacked by high-class specialists who use their intellect to commit illegal actions on one of the "varezniki" sites. We repeat that this method is illegal, and therefore can be prosecuted.
How programs are hacked or Not far from trouble
Most trial versions of software require entering the unlock code received on the manufacturer's website after paying for the full version in a special field to gain full functionality. Hackers, or rather, crackers, disassemble the program code, rewrite something and, what is most interesting, write small programs called cracks or cracks - from English to crack, or patches. Having obtained such a prepared program with a crack in the kit, you can use the full-featured version of the expensive software for free. But:
• the use of cracked software is illegal and threatens with very big troubles;
• interference with the source code of the program will certainly affect its functionality - many of the features provided by the developers remain unrealized;
• the cracker can embed anything into the program code - up to viruses and spyware, which can steal and transfer your confidential data to the owner.
Therefore, you should not use hacked programs. And do not try to find cracks and patches on the Web in order to use them for cracking. It is better to use free analogs or buy the software you need. This will ultimately be cheaper.
