Most modern mobile computers have SATA hard drives. Sometimes this feature makes it very difficult to install certain operating systems, such as Windows XP.

Instructions
Step 1
Quite often, when trying to install Windows XP on a mobile computer, a message appears stating that the system did not detect connected hard drives. Find the applications you need to install the correct drivers.
Step 2
Download nLite and. NET Framework programs. The latest application version must not be lower than 2.0. Pay attention to the fact that you need to choose a program suitable for a 32-bit or 64-bit system.
Step 3
Download the drivers for the SATA controller. Quite often they can be found on the website of the manufacturer of the mobile computer used. Copy the Windows XP installation files to a separate directory. In this case, it is necessary to extract absolutely all files from the disk.
Step 4
Run the nLite program, select the Russian language and click the "Next" button. Specify the directory where you copied the contents of the boot disk. Click "Next",
Step 5
Now, in the "Integrate" column, select the "Drivers" item. In the Create field, specify the Bootable ISO Image option. Click the Next button again.
Step 6
Go to Add and select the Drivers folder option from the drop-down menu. Specify the directory where the SATA drivers for the hard drive are located.
Step 7
After selecting the required set of files, press the Ok button, activate the parameter "Text mode driver". Select the set of provided files and left-click on the found txt-document.
Step 8
Click the Next and Yes buttons. Save the resulting disk image after the driver integration is complete. You can also burn it directly to a disk drive.
Step 9
After completing the creation of the boot disk, restart the mobile computer and run the system setup program. The subsequent procedure does not differ from the usual installation of Windows XP on a stationary computer.
