Resolution is one of the important properties of digital images that directly affect their display and printing. Resolution is expressed in dots per inch and specifies the relationship between the physical dimensions of the raster and its geometric dimensions when displayed. Sometimes the resolution is mistakenly called the dimension of the image raster. The resolution value is stored in image files. Images captured from digital cameras and other photographic devices are often low resolution, good for viewing on a screen. But in this case, before printing, it makes sense to increase the resolution of the photo.
