Usually, after reinstalling the OS, one important question arises before us: where to start? The main thing here is to install again all those programs that you need for work in a short time. There are special programs for solving this problem.
Instructions
Step 1
Find the Niksaver program on the Internet, download it from one of the sites or file hosting services and install it on your computer. Installation is simple and intuitive - select the desired directory and click Finish.
Step 2
Run the program. On the left side of the Niksaver window, you will see a list of found programs installed on your computer and corresponding to the Niksaver internal database.
Step 3
In the list of programs, check the box of one or several programs whose settings you want to reserve. After you make the necessary marks, click on the floppy disk icon in order to save the settings of the selected programs.
Step 4
Change the path to the directory for saving the program settings files to the one that is more convenient for you (by default, the path is the following: C: Documents and SettingsuserMy DocumentsComputer Configuration).
Step 5
Make sure that saving the program settings was successful. If no errors occurred during the export, a green check mark will be displayed in front of the program name in the list. If the program found any errors while saving, then a red cross will be displayed opposite the name of the object program.
Step 6
You can also add to the list of programs to export their settings. To do this, select the "Tools" item in the menu bar and then select "Edit Configs". In the menu that opens, select a program from the list of programs installed on your computer, then specify the registry keys and settings files for the selected program to Niksaver.
Step 7
In order to restore data, click on the folder icon with an arrow (Load settings) and point the program to the required settings file.
