Rulers have become very popular on the internet in forums. They show the days before vacation or New Years, the remaining days before important events, and much more. You can place such a ruler on your computer desktop.
Instructions
Step 1
Find a website on the Internet that offers ruler creation. First, choose a suitable background you like. You can upload your own image if the ones on the site do not suit you.

Then select the slider, the size of the ruler. Enter the text in the signature of the ruler and indicate the date in the suggested format. Choose a text color, a suitable font. Click "Next".
Step 3
The next item is "Create a ruler". The ruler code appears in the Desktop Link field on the page. You must copy it.
Step 4
Then, on the "Display Properties" tab, select the "Desktop" tab. At the bottom you will see the "Desktop Settings" button. Enter this tab.
Step 5
The next tab you need is "Web". Click on the "Create" button in it. In the "New Desktop Element" window that opens, in the "Placement" field, paste the code for your ruler. Confirm the action by clicking on the "OK" button. In the newly opened window, click "OK" again.
Step 6
Wait for the image to download. Then confirm the action in all open windows.
Step 7
The date on the ruler is updated manually. To do this, right-click on the desktop and select Refresh. You can also update the date manually by right-clicking on the ruler.
Step 8
The ruler is on the desktop. In order to move it to any place you want, move the mouse over the image and, while holding the button, move the ruler.
